One office is in Dickinson and the other in Watford City, both in the Bakken region of western ND. Due to recently discovered oil and gas reserves, many farmers have become overnight millionaires and the area is growing out of control, similar to the gold rush of the 1840's. The financial opportunity is incredible for CPAs open to relocating and establishing themselves in this area. Practice development / sales expertise is NOT required as these firms have a large built in, growing book of business, ready to be taken over. These are exceptional career opportunities featuring a fast track to Partnership, as long term partners will soon be retiring. Strong candidates may be offered an immediate direct entry Partnership role. The firm will pay for both interview and relocation expenses.
These practices specialize in oil & gas, mining, agribusiness, and high net worth individuals. Prefer candidates with exposure to taxation issues in those areas, including mineral trusts and schedule F (farm - agribusiness tax returns). If no direct exposure, candidates should thoroughly research tax codes in those areas prior to the interview. A CPA license is preferred, however the firm will also consider IRS certified EAs (Enrolled Agents.) The Tax Manager will be in charge of tax compliance, planning, review and preparation; and will supervise a small staff of Tax Accountants, bookkeepers, and administrative personnel. They will have direct client contact and responsibility for client representation with the IRS and state tax agencies.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
