Essential Duties:
The Athletic Trainer's primary role is to oversee and manage the day-to-day health and wellness of athletes at local area high schools in Dickinson, ND.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Provide event game coverage for home games for the entire pre-season, regular season, and post-season which may include varsity football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, hockey, track, cross country, baseball, and gymnastics
Provide training room services from 2:30-4:15 pm MST Monday-Friday
Provide pre-game and post-game treatment for all athletes
On-site injury evaluation during games
Work closely with our team of physicians, physician assistant and physical therapists to ensure proper treatment of athletic injuries and appropriate referrals for physical therapy as needed
Communicate with coaches daily regarding injury status of players
Set up training room with all necessary supplies for each game, including but not limited to: ice, water, taping supplies, etc.
Communicate with VP of Physician Practices at SJHHC for updates, referrals, and ongoing items
Maintain appropriate levels of supplies in athletic training room
Maintain appropriate records regarding all athletes, including but not limited to: intake physicals, incident reports, doctor notes, exit physicals, etc.
Work in the St. Joseph's Medical Clinic during the off season

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors degree required.

Experience:
0-3 years experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer
(Preferred) Master's degree in athletic training or a related field.
(Preferred)Performance training background (i.e. NSCA, NASM, etc.)

License/Certification:
National athletic trainer's association certification
BLS required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
