BAKER BOY BAKE SHOP INC.: Maintenance Inventory Specialist

### PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining inventory of parts used by maintenance department through an Inventory Management and PM Software Program.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Utilize computer program to compile and maintain records of quantity, type and value of inventory parts stocked for the maintenance department.
2. Update parts inventory program when new parts are received and when parts are taken out of inventory for usage.
3. Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor to assure adequate inventory of frequently used parts is maintained.
4. Keep inventory area neat and tidy so parts can be easily located.
5. Assist Maintenance Department as requested by Maintenance Supervisor.
6. Develops business relationships with parts vendors and orders via phone or email from vendors.
7. Seeks out alternate vendors for best quality and price and works to reduce shipping costs by coordinating projects with Maintenance Supervisor.
8. Makes coordinated in town runs to gather parts that are not in stock at our facility.
9. Informs maintenance personnel when parts arrive including Maintenance Supervisor via email.
Requirements
2. REQUIREMENTS
a. Education
Required: High School diploma or equivalent GED
#### b. Experience
#### Work experience in a manufacturing environment and/or managing parts and supplies preferred as well as working with inventory management systems.
##### c. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
1. Knowledge of company policies and procedures and experience working with computers.
2. Excellent understanding of inventory levels.
3. Good interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the company both written and verbal.
4. Proactive and self-starting with successful project accomplishments.
Physical Requirements
Standing required majority of shift and ability to lift parts weighing up to 52#.
f. Uniform Requirements
Clean, un-torn, blue denim jeans and choice of Black, Brown, Orange or White button down shirt or polo shirt, closed toe comfortable shoes, (steel toe optional but recommended) hairnet, hardhat and no jewelry.
g. Schedule
Set schedule as assigned with overtime hours worked when necessary.
